A bit recent by Canadian standards. Our house is just a baby (built in 1895) compared to our previous house built in 1854. Our town is on land ceded to the British Crown by the First Nations in 1784, first settled by United Empire Loyalist settlers (the losing side of the American revolution) in 1793.
