On 01 March 2008 Hugh Allison joined Taruna Farm. Hugh, a sheep farmer originally from Southland, is married to Kirsten and they have two boys Nathan and Blake.

In his spare time Hugh is an accomplished runner, having completed the 2009 Rotorua Marathon in a creditable tenth place in two hours 44 minutes and other fitness based activities.

In 2012 Hugh was appointed Farm Manager which enables Chris to concentrate on repairs and maintenance on the farm and perfecting his tennis.  

Working Dogs

Working dogs play an integral part of life at Taruna Farm. Many a faithful four legged help mate has come and gone over the years.  Currently Hugh has three dogs, Lace, Rag and Tui.
